Exactly Who God Intended to Be Here
Rooted Class 2025-2026
The second year of Rooted is off to a great start, and I couldn’t be happier. For the first day and a half, I’ll admit it almost felt like imposters had shown up - taking the spots that “belonged” to last year’s students. But very quickly, that feeling changed. I grew to love this new group and realized that, on this campus and in this season, they are exactly who God intended to be here.
What’s Been Happening
We have six students this year - five guys and one young woman. They come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, yet they’ve bonded into a strong and unified team. We’re just beginning our sixth week, having already completed four incredible classes and two impactful trips.
Last week we lived, served, and worshiped in New York City. This week, we’re diving deep into the Psalms with Dr. Brad Pribbenow, Dean of the Lutheran Brethren Seminary and an incredible mentor to the students.
Current focus…
During October, we’re stretching our prayer muscles—growing our stamina each day until we reach an hour of prayer by month’s end. This year’s class has also begun hosting a young adults group every other week on campus, and it’s been amazing to see them already having such a meaningful impact on others. Much of that is driven by how relational, connected, and outward-focused this group is.
How you can pray…
Pray for Andrew, Caleb, Jacob (J.D.), Abigail (Abi), Julian, and Connor.
Pray against the enemy’s attacks on each of these students and on their strong sense of community.
Continue to pray for last year’s graduates—that God would bless them with deep fellowship and new opportunities to impact people with the Gospel.
YOU CAN HELP
We’re already hearing from people inquiring and signing up for the third year of Rooted! Would you please follow us on Facebook or Instagram and engage with the students’ posts? Every like, comment, and share helps more people hear about Rooted and what God is doing here.
