(Includes a $1,000 non-refundable deposit)

Every Rooted student receives a $4,300 work-study credit, which covers half of the room and board cost.


At Rooted, we believe some of the most valuable growth happens through serving. That’s why all participants join one of Tuscarora’s service teams—like food service, programming, housekeeping, or operations—as part of their discipleship and development. This not only builds leadership but helps reduce your total cost.

Ways to Reduce the Cost Even More

You may be eligible to lower your out-of-pocket cost through these opportunities:

Leadership Internship (Summer after Rooted)

While not required, we strongly encourage Rooted graduates to stay on for a paid leadership internship during the summer following the program.

  • Lead summer staff teams and gain real ministry leadership experience

  • Internship runs mid-June to mid-August, with the option to stay through Labor Day

  • Earn $2,500–$3,500, depending on your availability

Weekend & Open Shift Work

Throughout the year, students can sign up for additional paid shifts on weekends or during the week in areas like hospitality, housekeeping, and events. This is a flexible way to earn extra income while supporting the ministry.

Scholarships

Need-based scholarships are available for qualifying students. We encourage all applicants to inquire and apply if cost is a concern.
