Whether you’ve been praying for Rooted since it was just a dream, or you recently joined our prayer team, thank you. Your prayers matter. This year, I’m committing to being more intentional about equipping you with specific ways to lift up this ministry.

A Look Back: God’s Faithfulness in Year One

Our first year of Rooted exceeded every expectation. Jenny and I had the incredible privilege of walking alongside our students as they grew—sometimes in the ways we hoped for, and other times in ways only God could orchestrate.

Even now, we’re seeing the fruit: three Rooted alumni are leading our summer staff program at Tuscarora. They're stepping into leadership with confidence, spiritual maturity, and a heart to serve. What a joy it is to witness their transformation!

Where We’re Headed: Growth and Enrollment

While we celebrate all that God has done, my focus this summer is twofold:

  • Refining the program — thoughtfully evaluating how we can grow and improve in Year Two

  • Recruiting new students — both for this fall and the future

So far, five incredible students have committed to join us in September. They are full of potential and spiritual hunger. But there’s still room: we can welcome up to 14 students without compromising the depth or design of the program.

Two big challenges remain:

  1. Many families and churches still haven’t heard about Rooted

  2. Some young adults hesitate to take a leap of faith—especially into a new program
