On the Move: Conferences, Mexico, and What’s Ahead

Dear Rooted Prayer Partners,

As I write this, we are flying across the country to Arizona. From there, we will drive to Ejido Mezquital, Mexico, where we’ll join a team of around 100 people serving alongside 8 local congregations. Together, we’ll be helping lead pre-Easter outreach events for children and families in the community.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING

This has been a full and meaningful month of travel.

Just last week, we were in Florida attending two impactful conferences - one focused on young adults, and the other a large evangelical gathering centered on growing as disciple-makers.

That is at the heart of Rooted: forming disciples who will spend their lives making more disciples.

As we look ahead, we have less than two months left together as a class. That reality is beginning to settle in - both the excitement and the weight of this season coming to a close.

At the same time, I am deeply encouraged. There is a growing sense of anticipation among the students as they begin to discern where God is leading them next. It is a joy to watch their confidence in Him take root.

HOW YOU CAN PRAY

Would you join us in praying for:

  • Abi, Andrew, Caleb, Connor, JD, and Julian - that they would follow the King with confidence and joy, wherever He leads

  • A continued hunger for God’s Word and a deepening love for Christian community

  • The students already signed up for next year, and those still wrestling with whether Rooted is where God is calling them

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Thank you to those who have already reached out about helping with scholarships - we are truly grateful.

As we look ahead, we are planning a fundraiser at the end of May. With the number of students projected for next year, we are also preparing for several facility projects this summer - which is a great problem to have.

We are thankful for the ways God continues to provide through this community.

Rooted - and continually being rooted deeper,

Roger Viksnes
